SCOTT Sports has released the Prospect Amplifier goggle, which was added to their extensive range in August 2022. Scott, a world-renowned brand that needs little introduction, continues to innovate with the ever popular Prospect goggles. Serious steps forward in clarity and rider safety have been made with the new Amplifier lens.
Scott says that this new lens not only “amplifies the riders vision” but is also designed to “defend your vision” with rider safety in mind. It’s clear from the moment that you put this goggle on your face – something that is no bother – that you are already deleting any types of distortion with it’s advanced injection moulded, pre-curved lens. Couple this with the amplifier technology and it’s like riding in 4K, to put it into laymen terms. The amplifier helps to enhance previously hard to see areas, specifically shadows or dark ruts.
It’s simple to summarise our thoughts on the SCOTT Prospect Amplifier goggle. Clearer, more enhanced vision brings rider confidence as well as an element of added rider safety. Whether you are a motocross guy tackling ruts and shadows at the track or an enduro rider facing dark-to-light transitions and ever-changing terrain, the end result is the same. It’s ultra-high definition in a goggle.
One would be forgiven for questioning how much further goggle technology can advance – there is only so much that can be done to enhance vision. Industry leaders like SCOTT Sports continue to make such significant steps forward, however, beyond what the average rider could even imagine. It is only when you first use the Prospect Amplifier goggle that you realise how much of an improvement can be made.
The lens is similar to (but certainly should not be compared to) Oakley’s PRIZM lens. Both have clarity and rider safety at the forefront, as these industry leading brands continue to set the standards in innovation and safety. Expect more of this style in the future from other brands – leaders lead.
