Social Spot: Sneak Peek IX

There is not a lot going on in Europe currently, seeing as all of the off-season events have been cancelled. Fans can still get action of some kind from social media and steal a glance at riders in their new seats. It was not too long ago that everyone had to wait for the pre-season races to see a guy in a new set-up! How the times have changed. If you do not frequent social media, a handful of the latest posts are below.

Henry Jacobi

Henry Jacobi’s new look was featured in the previous edition of ‘Social Spot’ on MX Vice, but he was sat on a stock 2021 CRF450R. The JM Honda Racing squad has now unveiled their new look race steed for the 2021 FIM Motocross World Championship, which is pictured below. It is fairly similar to a year ago; there is no main sponsorship to speak of.

Evgeny Bobryshev

The fact that RFX are no longer a title sponsor of the PAR Homes Husqvarna outfit means that there is going to be a change in some of the sponsors, like gear. It seems as though Bobryshev and Josh Gilbert will be running Thor from this point on, but the former will be sticking with Forma boots and Ethen goggles. Those are personal sponsors.

Benoit Paturel

The first complete look at Benoit Paturel on a Honda SR Motoblouz CRF450R, complete with his new digits. Everything is changing for the Frenchman; he is now using Kenny gear, Oakley goggles, a Suomy helmet and Forma boots. None of those brands were associated with his programme last year. The boots and goggles are personal sponsors.

Alvin Ostlund

Alvin Ostlund is the forgotten rookie heading into the premier class in the 2021 FIM Motocross World Championship, but he will be aboard a YZ450F on a JK Racing Yamaha. Just1 are a major part of that Italian effort; he will run that gear, helmet and goggles. Forma boots will complete his set-up. Forma appear to be making a bit of a push, based on this.
