The first round of the U.K. Supercross series was held in Sheffield last night (Saturday).
Honda racers took the premier spots in both pro-classes in front of a large, enthusiastic crowd.
Several thousand spectators were thrilled with the action from all the finals, particularly the final race of the night which saw bar-bashing racing from the top professional racers in the country.
Buildbase Honda front-man Nicolas Aubin showed his class by taking the CRF250 to a fantastic forth place at the flag following a first turn pile-up in the open class.
Nico’ came from dead last through the field to keep his title hopes alive, fighting hard against the big-bike opposition.
In the Lites class, Nicolas secured his first win in the qualifier aboard his Buildbase Honda, leading from start to finish. In the main race, third place on the opening lap set the scene for a spectacular, 3-way Honda battle, with Nico’ finishing runner-up at the flag.
The racing in Sheffield was fantastic and it’s clear the championship title this year will be hard fought. All preparation now focuses on the next round in Belfast on Saturday 19th November 2011.
The Buildbase Honda Team and Nicolas Aubin will be giving 100% to lift both U.K. Supercross titles and have begun their campaign in great style.
