RideoffroadUK are set for a big weekend of Enduro XC action as Round 7 of the Doodson Motorsport Championship heads for the Lee Dell complex on June 23rd. Having had to postpone the planned double header event back in May, the hilltop venue is in pristine condition thanks to the recent good weather. The course for Round 7 makes a welcome return to the east loop including the MX track and open moor land going. This outfield loop has not been used since last year. It always proves popular with riders giving lots of track to get going and open up on. Add in the long course which takes in the old mill ruins section, the off camber trail behind the fishing lodge, and the stream crossings, and we have an awesome track for riders of all levels to compete on. With on going ground works at Lee Dell starting to take shape, Wayne Braybrook is confident that another revised track will keep riders on their toes.
The usual 3 race format will be in place on Sunday only, with Youth riders first on track for 90 minutes. This will be followed by the Adult Sportsman, Beginner, Ladies and Over 50 Vets event starting at approximately 10.30am running for two hours. The Pro Elite, Expert, Clubman and Over 40 Vets event will, after a short break for lunch, be underway at 1.30pm for two and a half hours. Championship points are very much the focus for most riders as the series hits the half way mark.
Camping is available from Saturday, catering and toilet facilities will be on site, and as usual the Ride spares shop will be packed with products to keep riders going.
