Cooper Webb has not raced in a little over two months now, as he sustained a fractured tibia at the fourteenth round of Monster Energy Supercross. Webb also fractured his fibula in two places. Now, however, after spending a couple of weeks aboard his steed, he is ready to make his return to racing.
“Ready or not here we come,” Cooper Webb wrote on social media. “Beyond stoked to let everyone know I will be lining up at Southwick this weekend for my first race back! Even was able to find some sand in Cali to prep on. Excited to see all the fans and have some fun this weekend! Could keep practicing for a few more weeks to be 100%, but I wanna go race. The goal will be to get better each weekend!”
Webb acquired two podium finishes during his first season in the 450MX class. The first of those actually occurred at Southwick, the circuit that he will return at this weekend, and then he also managed to slot into the top three in one of the races at Unadilla. Seventh was the position that he secured in the final series standings.
