The MXGP Festival was celebrated for the first time in 2012 and almost 300 riders rode the MXGP track of Matterley Basin during the British Grand Prix weekend. A part from the FIM Motocross World Championship riders – MX1, MX2, MX3 and WMX – the young European talents – 65cc, 85cc, 125cc, 250cc – and the Veterans, an Amateur race was organized and the participants could race the MXGP track and take part in the memorable parade together with their idols.
