Premier Motocross this weekend in Memory Of Si Higgins

This Sunday April 14th the Phoenix Tools Premier Motocross
Championship ventures on a new venue for round 3 which is Crediton Raceway.
As a mark of respect this round has been dedicated to the sad loss of premier Mx
team organiser Si Higgins who sadly passed away last weekend due to a freak
accident doing what he loved to do preparing a motocross track. Topping the
Expert Open Championship is Welshman Shane Carless (Pictured) on the
Oakleaf Kawasaki who has a slender 4 points lead over the Phoenix Tools Honda
of Luke Hawkins, but as with the first two rounds there is plenty of other talent
in attendance like Luke Hill, Jamie Skuse, Lewis Gregory, Jackson Evans, John
May, Tommy Alba plus many more. Also featured will be the Junior
Championship which has yet another Welshman leading the proceedings in the
shape of Jay Thomas, but he will be joined by the likes of Ryan Williams,
Anthony Milliar, Josh Gilbert, Todd Kellett, Josh Taylor to name a few. In the
Over 35 class Mark Wilde who dominated at round 2 goes in to round 3 with a
13 points advantage over last years Champion Jason Fraser. In the Over 40’s
Steve Locke now leads the Championship from Simon Hart and in the Over 50’s
class Ian Nott will be looking to close the gap on current Championship leader
Keith Hanson. Crediton Raceway has easy access with excellent viewing and will
be signposted off the A377 in Crediton (Postcode EX17 3NH) with the first race
at 10-30am. For more info contact Mel Martin on 01626 365335.
