The Park Lane IDS KTM team travelled to round two of the ORMS Series at Sherwood. It was the first occasion this year the team line-up included Small Wheel 85 rider, Aaron Patsone.
Over the two days all riders show just how quick they are up against a field of top riders. Carl Benjamin in MX2 had been unable to train the previous week due to sickness but toughed it out and was rewarded with 3rd, 6th, 5th and 3rd to earn 4th overall. Carl had a great superclass race at the end of the day, earning another 4th place.
Scott Bates in MX1 scored 5th, 5th, 5th and 2nd for a well deserved trip to the podium with 2nd overall. Most notably was a ride in race 2 which left Scott last from the first lap. He never lost focus and battled hard around a track where passing was hard to grab 5th place – a great ride.
Brandon Benjamin, aboard the 350 KTM, continues to make great progress on his new machine. His speed is improving each week. Brandon scored 7th, 4th, 19th and 5th on his way to 6th overall.
Young Aaron Patstone also impressed the team riders with 9th, 7th, 9th, 6th and 5th earning a great 6th overall in a very competitive class. Credit must go to Aaron who battle hard all weekend.
On a closing note we need to add a special thanks to ISO2 Nutrition. Their expertise and valued input enabled Carl to get to the line for the weekend’s races. After being ill midweek with very little chance of travelling to the event he was advised to take OCT-X and Glutamine from the ISO2 range to fight against the sickness. Carl felt better, stronger and fitter over the next 48 hours and was not only able to get the start but to ride to his full ability. So, a big thanks to ISO2 from Carl and
all the team!
