It’s always unknown whether smaller European countries will choose to field a team at a Motocross of Nations that is overseas. Another trio has been added to the pre-entry list, however, as Team Norway was confirmed just moments ago. Quietly, Norway has become a powerhouse nation in the sport with countless riding stars working their way up the EMX ladder. There are two Norwegians in the top seven in the EMX250 standings!
Leading the way for Team Norway at the Motocross of Nations will be MX2 contender, Kevin Horgmo, who will be on his F&H Kawasaki Racing Team steed. Horgmo’s undoubtedly a threat to win the individual overall in the MX2 class. Joining him will be Fantic Factory Team Maddii riders, Cornelius Toendel and Hakon Osterhagen, who run in EMX250 currently.
Toendel, who is one of the biggest riders in the sport, will move onto a Fantic 450F for the first time and race in the MXGP class, whereas Osterhagen will continue to ride a 250 two-stroke in the Open division. A strong team, undoubtedly, even though it’s missing Honda 114 Motorsports’ Hakon Fredriksen, who is sidelined with multiple injuries that were sustained at the Grand Prix of Czech Republic.
