Another piece of unexpected silly season news! KMP Honda Racing, a German team that may be recognisable to some, has signed Petar Petrov ahead of the 2021 FIM Motocross World Championship. KMP typically take part in two or three Grands Prix each season, but the plan is for them to hit all of the European stops of the tour. Quite the step up! The ADAC MX Masters is also a major part of their programme. The news was unveiled with a very quick social media post.
“Petar Petrov signed with KMP Honda Racing for 2021. To ride the full European MXGP and the ADAC MX Masters. Welcome to the team Petar! His bike will be the Honda CRF450R.”
KMP Honda Racing housed Vsevolod Brylyakov and Gert Krestinov this year, but it remains to be seen if they are sticking around or whether any other riders will get to compete in all of those Grands Prix.
This is a breaking news story and will be updated.
