MX Vice popped down to check out Rocketworld near Henstridge. We’d heard a lot of great things about the track and the setup and down there and thought we’d check it out. It was James’s first time on a bike for 6 months and passing the freestyle ramps at the entrance maybe it wasn’t such a good idea.
On the way in there are rows and rows of cars, lots of empty space and the smell of chicken poo, but don’t let that put you off! We followed the road around where we were met by quite a few vans.. Some familiar faces greeted us, Alex Snow and Jamie Skuse.
The track wasn’t just made up of locals, one rider had travelled from Belgium with his family to try out some UK motocross tracks.
There was 3 sessions, Expert, Senior/Junior and Kids. Food was aviable from a snack van that popped around a few times a day and there was also toilets.
Ross Keyworth set out in the experts along with Alex Snow, Jamie Skuse, Liam Taylor and I think Ryan Butler…? These guys not only made the track look easy and fun to ride, they were also hitting a double and launching in the air.. At this point I thought I had made a huge mistake choosing to ride..
I got to say… I loved every minute of it.. The track is awesome and it doesn’t matter if you’re a novice, junior or expert this track can be ridden by everyone and you will have a lot of fun!
For entertainment value check out the freestyle ramps, usually there is always someone playing around with them… Check out the pics below.
So if you get to Wednesday and think bugger it, i’m taking a day off, check to see if Rocketworld is open because midweek just got a whole lot better!
