JK sign Monticelli for MXGP

Social media is great, right? It has replaced conventional methods of communication, like press releases that teams typically use to announce new signings. Those are still used, but sometimes a rider drops the news on their personal accounts first. That is exactly what Ivo Monticelli, who finished twenty-eighth in the MX2 class this year, did recently.

Monticelli revealed that he has signed a deal to race the upcoming FIM Motocross World Championship with the iFly JK Yamaha team. Monticelli was forced out of the MX2 class, because of the age-restriction rule that is in place, and replaced at Marchetti KTM by Morgan Lesiardo. It is thought that Monticelli will contest every single round of the MXGP series and also the Maxxis British Championship.

Testing my new bike… thanks to the @jkracingmx who believes in me for this new season…
