Tommy Searle ruled out of British Blaxhall clash.

Further injury woes for defending MX1 British Champ.

GTCI Revo Kawasaki team leader and defending British MX1 Champion Tommy Searle has released a statement via his Instagram Story, announcing that he won’t be able to join this weekend’s action at Blaxhall.

Clearly frustrated at the further setback to his already troubled season, he announced that he’s “Got some bad news, I’m not gonna be racing tomorrow at Blaxhall because I had a crash this week whilst out riding in Holland, and I’ve hurt my ribs again. I tried riding this morning and it’s just too painful.”

He will be at the circuit along with the team, which fields Mel Pocock in MX2 and current Youth 250cc series leader Billy Askew, no doubt to film for his vlog and to show his support for his teammates, as he stated:

“I will still be there to support the boys so come by the team, I won’t have a lot else to do apart from speak to the fans, so please come along, but sorry I won’t be racing.”

Searle had climbed from 9th to 6th with his 4th place finish at Foxhill.  It’s unclear whether or not he will be at Monster Mountain for the second round of the Michelin MX Nationals the following weekend, but as he missed the opening round of that series it might be unlikely that it’ll be worth it for him. The next round of the Revo series is at Hawkstone Park on the 18th of June, so we shall see if Tommy is well enough to rejoin the series there.

There is still no word on a timescale for Dylan Walsh’s return to racing with the GTCI Revo Kawasaki team.
