The injuries continue to mount up in Monster Energy Supercross, as five riders have moved onto the sidelines in the last seven days. The good news, however, is that two guys are set to make their return at round five of seventeen, which will take place in Oakland this weekend.
In for Oakland.
Justin Bogle: The RCH Yoshimura Suzuki squad will be at full-strength this weekend, as Justin Bogle returns from the bruised lungs that he sustained at Anaheim 2. Just a couple of weeks have been and gone since then, of course, so it may be wise to temper expectations.
Chris Alldredge: Chris Alldredge has only been back on a bike for a couple of days, but will be return to Monster Energy Supercross this weekend. Alldredge has been missing since round one with a broken collarbone.
Out of Oakland.
Ken Roczen: The various struggles that Ken Roczen has encountered since his horrific crash at Anaheim 2 have been well-documented on this link. However, to summarize, injuries to his wrist, arm and elbow will keep him on the sidelines for an undetermined amount of time.

Weston Peick: Weston Peick has a reputation for being one of the toughest riders in Monster Energy Supercross, but even he was caught out by the first rhythm section in Phoenix. A dislocated wrist and lacerated kidney will keep him out for quite some time.
Tyler Bowers: A hard crash at Phoenix left Tyler Bowers with a dislocated femur, but he is hopeful that he’ll be able to return in Seattle. Noah McConahy has been drafted in as his replacement on the 51 Fifty Yamaha team.
Jeremy Martin: Jeremy Martin was caught up with Tyler Bowers a week ago and, although he initially returned to riding, sustained a concussion. Martin sat out that night, but was confident that he would be able to return for round five of seventeen. The Geico Honda rider failed the concussion test, however, so will sit out for another week.

Zac Commans: Various arm and wrist injuries that were sustained in Phoenix will keep Zac Commans on the sidelines for the foreseeable. “I’m really frustrated about it but trying to remain grateful that it isn’t worse,” Commans wrote on social media.
Christophe Pourcel: Changes have been made to the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team in the last couple of days, so Christophe Pourcel will miss the rest of Monster Energy Supercross to allow the neck injuries that he sustained last year more time to heal.
Fredrik Noren: Making a splash in the 450SX class aboard a 250F can be a difficult task, but Fredrik Noren was doing a great job of it through the first three rounds. The Swedish star will now sit out until the 250SX East series begins, however, as he had his tonsils removed before Phoenix.
Hayden Mellross: After sustaining a hand injury in a first-turn crash at Anaheim 2, Hayden Mellross expected to race in Phoenix. That turned out to be impossible and now he has withdrawn from Oakland also.
Bradley Taft: The Cycle Trader Rock River Yamaha squad suffered a blow before Anaheim 2, as Bradley Taft bowed out with a concussion. It has not been announced how long the rookie will be absent for, but he’ll miss the next couple of races. Heath Harrison is currently acting as his replacement.
Mitchell Oldenburg: Mitchell Oldenburg was the first 250SX rider to get caught out by the technical rhythm section in San Diego and, unfortunately, did not escape unscathed. Oldenburg is out for the foreseeable with a broken collarbone, but no replacement rider has been drafted in.
Colt Nichols: Colt Nichols was pegged to achieve great things aboard a Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha, but a broken femur threw a spanner into the works. Nichols is hoping to be ready for round one of 250SX East, but that is approaching awfully fast.

Trey Canard: A minor shoulder injury continues to sideline Trey Canard, despite the fact that he only expected to miss a couple of races. Canard has provided very few updates recently.
Justin Barcia: Oh, Justin Barcia! ’51’ desperately needed some kind of momentum in Monster Energy Supercross but, alas, he’s on the sidelines and will be playing catch up again when he returns. When will that be? Well, the team expect him back in the next couple of weeks.
Trevor Reis: A shattered right heel and torn ACL were among the injuries that Trevor Reis sustained at Milestone before Christmas, so he’ll miss the entire Monster Energy Supercross season. “Such a bummer deal. Was trying to avoid another down rider and banged myself up pretty good,” Reis stated on social media.
Chase Sexton: It is safe to presume that Chase Sexton was going to race the 250SX East class anyway, seeing as he is a rookie, but a pair of broken wrists didn’t leave him with a choice. Neither wrist required surgery, so he is still expected to make the first round of that series in the middle of February.
Matt Bisceglia: Matt Bisceglia was initially down to contest the 250SX West class for JGR, but an ankle injury forced him to move over to the other coast. Phil Nicoletti, consequently, had to alter his programme and ensure that he would be ready for the first west round.
