Desalle förlänger kontraktet med KRT.

Clément Desalle, vinnare av två deltävlingar under 2017 års FIM MXGP Motocross VM, kommer fortsätta sitt framgångsrika samarbete med Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Teamet under 2018 och 2019 års säsonger.

Clément blev medlem i Kawasakis familj förra året, och efter en otursam skada inför 2016 års säsong, la han och teamet allt fokus på att utveckla den då helt nya Kawasaki KX450-SR. Det blev en lyckosam historia när Clément återfann sig själv i vinnarnas finrum efter sin första GP vinst med Kawasaki på Assen förra året. Samarbetet växte närmare och närmare, och Clément ihop med teamet fortsatte sin framfört under vintern och har redan tagit ytterligare två vinster under Frankrikes och Rysslands GP, samt två pallplatser under säsongen hittills.

Nuvarande på andraplats i totala poängställningen i VM efter tolv deltävlingar gör Clément till en av de absolut största i MXGP-klassen. Clément, med två stycken GP vinster tidigare i sin karriär och fem VM serie-medaljer i MXGP (tidigare MX1) klassen, och Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team har nått ett avtal för att förlänga sitt samarbete ytterligare två år.  

Clément Desalle: “Jag är väldigt glad över att fortsätta jobba med Kawasaki, eftersom jag älskar mitt jobb och arbetet vi gör tillsammans; det är riktigt bra att vi kunde nå en överenskommelse att fortsätta detta. Det är skönt att ha avtalet färdigt så pass tidigt under säsongen, eftersom man måste börja tänka på framtiden vid en punkt, men nu kan jag fokusera helt på varje race och varje GP och se till att få så bra resultat som möjligt för oss. Jag är också glad eftersom vi har arbetat så hårt de senaste ett och ett halvt året med att utveckla hojen, och den är nu riktigt bra. Nu kan vi fokusera på vårt gemensamma mål: Att vinna race.
