We caught up with James after the second round of the AMCA 85/150 class at Bromsberrow.

MX Vice: So James, how has the start of the season gone for you?

James Hanscomb: The start of the season has started very well. We have got our bikes exactly where we want them and the results so far have been good.

Did you make any changes to your training leading up to the season?

Yeah, I’ve changed my training completely for this season! I have a new fitness program that I do everyday which started in January, so now three months in i’m really starting to see the benefits and its really starting to help with my riding.

'James' workout consists mostly of cardiovascular workouts in the gym such as, cycling, running, circuit training and more! All things that are vital to achieve a good base level of fitness before he hits the track.'

Is there anyone you’d like to thank for the help over the last year?

Yeah, I’d like the thank Lee Jones from Apex, he’s helped me out loads over the last year! Also a big thank you to, Bridgestone, RG3 suspension, Putoline Oils, Talon, A to Z Lloyd Transport, Thor, Altech, Pro Green, The Grafix Shack, Scorch Images, FUS, Rage Designs, Pure MX, MX Vice and LDR Racing. There help this year has meant that my bike is always fresh, and I can go to the start line knowing that I can win.

James is set up for a strong 2016 season on his YZ 85. The next few years will be vital for the ’94’ as he will have a couple more years in the big wheel class, but will then have to make the important jump up to the big bikes. From what James has shown so far, he has the talent and the potential to make the transition smoothly.
