Chad Reed’s final race as a full-time professional rider will occur within the walls of Rice Eccles Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The time has finally come, much to the dismay of fans across the globe. What is on Reed’s mind ahead of such a pivotal moment? Members of the media fired questions at the two-time 450SX champion ahead of Salt Lake City 7. Unfortunately, time differences prevented MX Vice from taking part.
“It’s always hard to talk about this while your still racing, but I think Yamaha probably need my help the most. It’s near and dear to my heart. The years that I look back on as the cool years that were fun, I was riding blue. To see them at the level they are at now, is less than the highest level in my opinion. A team like that would be fun. Saying that, you want to be involved with a company that is thriving to build rad motorcycles. People who are producing motorcycles near the weight limit and pushing that envelope like KTM and Husqvarna are.”
