Red Bull KTM’s Trey Canard has endured an extremely difficult season. Various injuries and illnesses caused ’41’ to miss thirteen of the seventeen Monster Energy Supercross rounds, then a broken collarbone ruled him out of the first four events on the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross calendar.
Canard returned at Muddy Creek, round five, and recorded a consistent scorecard (10-11). Those results were then followed up by a thirteenth and eleventh this past weekend, but he unfortunately won’t have a chance to continue moving forward at Southwick on Saturday. “Trey Canard suffered a crash earlier this week and therefore will miss the upcoming round,” a press release from Red Bull KTM confirmed.
“Canard did not sustain any bodily injuries; however, due to the impact of his crash, Canard will sit out for at least one round,“ the report continued. There will be a break in the calendar following Southwick, which should allow Canard sufficient time to recover.
