The 250SX East class in 2021 Monster Energy Supercross was already struggling for depth, so another injury to a factory star is most unwelcome. Michael Mosiman crashed late in the final qualifying session at round six, Indianapolis 3, and sustained a hand injury that will require surgery, so is set to miss the race programme tonight as well as Orlando 1 next weekend.
“Gutted to tell you that I seem to have broken my hand in three places. Just a stupid move at the end of the last practice… I qualified third and was riding great. I was looking to get my first win, hopefully tonight. It looks like I need surgery. We are going to do the work necessary, then be back out there to battle with the guys. Super, super bummed and disappointed. We will be back.”
Mosiman currently sits third in the 250SX East championship standings and was coming off of back-to-back podium finishes at Indy 1 and Indy 2. Mosiman was the only GASGAS representative in 250SX East.
