Mattia Guadagnini suffers concussion in free practice, ruled out of Grand Prix of France.
Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing’s Mattia Guadagnini continued his turbulent term at the Grand Prix of France this morning, as he crashed hard in free practice and suffered a concussion. Fortunately, he has recovered well and sustained no additional damage in the fall. The crash has, of course, ruled him out of the tenth round of the 2022 FIM Motocross World Championship, much to his dismay. Guadagnini was really finding his feet aboard the bigger MC 450F.

“Mattia had a heavy one earlier this morning. He is fine but will not be allowed to race.”
After an underwhelming start to the season in the MX2 class, where he amassed just five top-five moto finishes in fourteen starts, he moved to the premier division prior to the Grand Prix of Sardegna, round eight of the 2022 FIM Motocross World Championship. Guadagnini was eighth in his debut aboard the MC 450F and backed that up with a sixth at the following event in Spain. Fortunately, his future is secure with Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing. A contract is already in place for the 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship.
