PAR Homes Husqvarna has dominated headlines this week; it was first revealed that Evgeny Bobryshev has returned to the fold and now it’s been confirmed that Josh Gilbert has undergone knee surgery. Gilbert had his ACL and meniscus repaired, so obviously faces a lengthy recovery. The following statement was released on social media.
“Absolutely gutted to be writing this post! Today I underwent surgery to reconstruct my ACL and meniscus, I can honestly say I did not expect my injuries to be quite so bad! But it is and I can assure everyone that I will do everything in my power to get back as soon as I can and come back stronger! Sorry to @PARHomesHusqvarna and all my sponsors but the racing hasn’t started yet. Thanks to everyone who has already messaged me.”
Gilbert ended the 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship in twenty-first in the MX2 class, despite missing a couple of rounds, and is scheduled to jump up to the FC 450 in 2021.
