Cooper Webb has suffered yet another setback, unfortunately, as the Monster Energy Yamalube Chaparral Yamaha Financial Services Yamaha Factory Racing team have confirmed that he’ll miss round nine of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series. The event is set to take place at Washougal on Saturday.
“Bummed I’m missing Washougal this weekend with my meniscus injury, but glad it’s not worse,” Webb wrote on Instagram. “Ripped my leg off the bike around lap five [in] moto two at Millville and knew something wasn’t right. Gonna heal this thing and be ready for the last three nationals. This year has been a test in many ways, but I still have faith. #bebacksoon and thank you to all my sponsors and supporters for having my back.“
Webb currently sits eighth in the 450MX standings, eleven points down on the rider in seventh. A season-best finish of third was acquired in the first moto at Southwick.
