In a situation that is remarkably similar to what Standing Construct KTM found themselves in recently, Cab Screens Honda Racing have been hit by injuries this week. Both James Harrison and Dan Thornhill will, consequently, miss the Hawkstone International. The team will still be in attendance to watch the excellent racing, however, and support Josh Peters, their youth rider.
“Unfortunately, due to two practice crashes midweek, we have lost both our pro riders, James Harrison and Dan Thornhill, for the Hawkstone International,” Lee Webber (the team manager) said in a social media statement. “To say I’m gutted is an understatement as both lads always support this event, but on doctor’s advice we have to do what is best for the health of the riders. You couldn’t make this up: Both riders calling me within an hour of each other,at two different tracks, and two laps from the end of their days.”
“The good news is that both should be off the bike for no longer than ten days,” Webber continued. “The other good news is that Josh Peters, our youth rider riding in the MXY2 support race, is one hundred percent and good to go, so the team will be at Hawkstone to support the fantastic HIMX team in what promises to be a great day.”
