Budds Creek, Maryland, will be a hive of activity this weekend. The ninth round of 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross will be run at the historic circuit this weekend. It is set to be a poignant event – the battle between Justin Cooper and Jett Lawrence is raging on in 250MX. Ken Roczen has to continue gaining ground on Dylan Ferrandis in the 450MX class too, if he is going to have a shot at the crown. Losing points is simply not an option.
To add another element to the ninth round, poor weather could be a factor. Conditions are likely to be sloppy in qualifying – there was a flash flood warning on Friday and rain’s forecast for Saturday morning as well. The good news is that the forecast looks brighter for race day, so the track should come around by the time that gates drop at midday.
