Herlings and Jonass ready for the ADAC MX Masters at Gaildorf

Jeffrey Herlings and Pauls Jonass enrich a full ADAC MX Masters class, as the second half of the season begins with all four classes ready to race in Gaildorf.

On August 5th and 6th, the ADAC MX Masters will start the second half of the season on the traditional track in Gaildorf. The fans can look forward to a full program in the four classes – ADAC MX Masters, ADAC MX Youngster Cup, ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. Max Nagl (D/KMP Honda Racing powered by Krettek) starts the race as leader of the ADAC MX Masters standings, where he battles against the two motocross world champions Jeffrey Herlings (NL/Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) and Pauls Jonass (LVA/Standing Construct Honda MXGP), who come as guest starters to the circuit. Oriol Oliver (E/WZ-Racing) starts the race as leader of the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, Mads Fredsøe (DK/Sturm STC Racing) leads the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and Jarne Bervoets (B/Bervoets Racing Team) is the leader of the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. A large supporting program with many activities and music during the day and evening ensures that entertainment in the training and racing breaks. Fans can watch the races both on site at the race track and in the free live stream.

After a short summer break, the ADAC MX Masters is starting the second half of the season with a very full international field. The reigning champion Max Nagl and his usual strong competition in the title fight such as Tom Koch (D/Kosak Racing Team), Adam Sterry (GB/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), Henry Jacobi (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), Maximilian Spies (D/ Kosak Racing Team) and Jordi Tixier (F/KMP Honda Racing powered by Krettek) are expecting two absolute high calibre opponents in the two guest starters Jeffrey Herlings and Pauls Jonass. Both would like to use the race to find their way back into the high racing rhythm after injury breaks. The record Grand Prix winner and five-time World Champion Herlings became 2008 ADAC MX Junior Cup Champion in the 85 cc class, Jonass won the same title in 2011 and became MX2 World Champion in 2017. Also Noah Ludwig (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), Nico Koch (D/Becker Racing), Jakub Teresak (Enduro Koch Racing), Stefan Ekerold (D/Team Bauerschmidt MB33), Tim Koch (D/VisuAlz Production), Boris Maillard (F/stielergruppe.mx Johannes-Bikes Suzuki), Lukas Platt (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) and many more roll highly motivated to the starting gate.

In the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, Oriol Oliver will try to extend his championship lead over his WZ Racing teammates Cato Nickel (D) and Mike Gwerder (CH). In addition to this trio, which left its mark on the first half of the season, Peter König (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), Rasmus Pedersen (DK/Filten Racing), Jens Walvoort (NL/KTM SB Racing), Edvards Bidzans (LVA/Sixty Seven), Jan Wagenknecht (CZ), Scott Smulders (NL/ KMP Honda Racing powered by Krettek) and Marnique Appelt (D/Becker Racing) have already clinched a whole squad of other drivers running and overall podium places.

After an event break, the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 starts again in Gaildorf. Mads Fredsøe leads there ahead of Maximilian Werner (D/Fantic Factory Team Maddii) and Vitezslav Marek (CZ/Cermen KTM Racing Team). In the youngest racing class, ADAC MX Junior Cup 85, Jarne Bervoets (B/Bervoets Racing Team) is leading after two events ahead of Áron Katona (HU/HTS TM), Dean Gregoire ((NL/Voss KTM Racing) and the newly crowned Junior World Champion Dani Heitink (NL/DH-MX).

In addition to the races, there is a full supporting program for the spectators in Gaildorf with a large fan mile, freely accessible paddock and a large marquee with live music on three evenings. Adrian Guggemos will impress with spectacular vehicle handling and stunts at several Red Bull Freestyle Trials shows on both days between races. The young visitors have the opportunity to try out small quads and PW50 motorcycles on the Yamaha quad course. On Sunday from 12.15 p.m. to 12.45 p.m. Jeffrey Herlings, Pauls Jonass, Max Nagl, Tom Koch and Maximilian Spies will be available for the fans at the autograph session at the ADAC MX Masters truck. The Zillertal band “Höllawind” will start a hearty evening in the marquee on Friday from 8 p.m. On Saturday the rock cover band “Lost Eden” will play.

All races from Gaildorf will be broadcast in the free live stream.
