Another glorious throwback from the folks at Lucas Oil Pro Motocross! The video below is a full replay from round eight of the 2013 series at Washougal, which was a poignant stop for Ryan Villopoto. It was actually the first time that he won the 450MX overall in front of his hometown fans – it had eluded him before then. Villopoto split moto wins with Ryan Dungey in the premier class on that day. James Stewart was third overall after achieving the same result in both motos.
Perhaps the oddest moment from that event is that Jake Weimer finished fourth overall via a tenth and a fourth in the motos. Talk about an odd scorecard for such a strong overall result! Andrew Short (9-6) was fifth overall. Villopoto went on and picked up the 450MX title that year – the second and final one of his career. 42 points was his final advantage over Dungey, who had won the previous year.
