Well what a day.. What a weekend. The event was so packed I had to park the MX Vice truck miles away! My first experience of the Vets Des Nations and it was great and lived up to all my expectations.
Fair play to Dave King, to bring the calibre of riders over to the UK should warrant an MBE or something to get to see riders that were inaccessible to us in the 80’s now ride, chat and hang out was something dreams were made of. To also see Rob Andrews (one of my fav riders, also gave me his shirt when I was 8) attend, Neil Prince, Jeremy Whatley, Graham Noyce attend and all the other legends that have graced our sport was fantastic.
Some noticeable absentees were Dave Thorpe, Rob Herring, Mervyn Anstie, Jared Smith, Jamie Dobb (Charity cycle ride) and probably a few more that you guys can think of… I really do see this event as being a celebration of Motocross for everyone around the world to participate in and embrace.
For those that have missed this year, make sure you make it next because I can only see this event as getting bigger and better each year, I just hope they keep it at Farleigh!
Here are some more shots from the weekend..
