Social media was set alight earlier this week, as Christophe Pourcel shared a picture of his BOS Factory steed. The BOS squad are currently missing a guy, Evgeny Bobryshev, because of a wrist injury, so some immediately started to speculate that Pourcel would be a fill-in rider at the upcoming rounds of the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship.
MX Vice reached out to Christophe Pourcel directly though, just to confirm what is going on exactly, and he explained that he is simply doing some testing for the team. The BOS Factory team are currently working through their first term in green, so it makes sense that they are attempting to gain knowledge from a rider who has spent a majority of his career with the Japanese manufacturer. Tommy Searle is expected to be the sole representative for the squad at the Grand Prix of Great Britain.
Christophe Pourcel announced his retirement from professional racing in December 2017. Since retiring, Pourcel has worked with Just1 and also trained Ivo Monticelli for a brief period last year. It remains to be seen what his next venture will be.
