White Rose MXC – Finningley

With the rain holding off and some much wanted sunshine arriving as requested, DMP Finningley saw a bumper attendance, including a mega turnout in the Auto class.

Thanks to Ed and all the crew at DMP, the recent work put in at the track paid off. Numerous comments were heard at how well the track was and that some couldn’t remember it being better! The standard of racing throughout the day complemented both the track and weather conditions.

As well as all the action on the track, there was a fund raising raffle for the Ryan Mason Recovery Fund, which had some really great prizes on offer, thanks to some very generous donations from all areas of the sport. Thanks to everyone that contributed and also those who supported it by buying tickets.

The A Class saw some great close racing action, with Ryan Bruce taking the overall victory, helped by a win in the last moto. Second on the day went to Lee Harrison, with Jamie Simpson taking third,

Lee Martin took the honours in the B class with a win and a third and fourth place. Second overall went to Dan Wainwright with Chris Lawson taking third overall.

A great three wins from three for Stuart Danby gave him the overall win in the C Championship class, with Callum Ward taking second overall with three second places.

In the second novice class, Two wins and a third place gave Dave Lamb the overall victory ahead of Cameron Gunn and Louis Stead.

Bradley Thornton showed the way in the Youth Open Class, with two wins and a second giving him the overall win. Ryan Hawkridge continued to show that the move up form the BW 85 hasnt affected his performance, with a race win and two third places. Third overall was Will Hurford.

The BW 85 class saw some great battles, with Jack Naylor taking the overall win with two first places and a third, narrowly edging out Joe Sutcliffe who recorded a first and two second places. Lauren Collingwood’s second place and two thirds gave her third overall.

Ben Knight continued to show he is now a force to be reckoned with in the SW 85 class, with a first, second and fourth giving him another overall win. Ben Ruddick took second overall with a second and two third places, with Connor Mirfin taking third overall.

Two wins and a second place for Patrick Jackson gave him the overall in the 65 class, with Jack Grayshon taking second overall helped by a second and two third places. Elliot Barrass took third overall.

In the bumper Auto class, two wins and a third gave Charlie Heyman the overall win. Three second places gave Jack Grayshon second overall with Jonty Wright taking third spot.
