Revo Talon Kawasaki Step up!

With 2013 shaping up to be an incredibly competitive season in  the Red Bull Pro Nationals and Red Bull Elite Youth Cup, Revo Talon Kawasaki is wading into its debut season with serious title aspirations resting on the shoulders of Nez Parker in MX1 and Dan Thornhill in the Rookies.

“When we sat down and talked about building a team, from day one it was important for us to be involved with the best series in the UK,” explains Commercial Team Manager James Burfield. “Not just in competitiveness but also in a promotional and media sense.

“The Red Bull Pro Nationals give us everything – strong competitive line-ups plus a professional and well-marketed series that helps promote our sponsors and partners. And it also gives us the opportunity to scout the latest talent coming through the youth ranks.”

Nez will spearhead the team’s assault in 2013 after switching teams and manufacturers. Nez picked up a couple of injuries in the GPs last season and is looking forward to a fresh challenge. Riding shotgun for Nez in MX1 will be 21-year-old Ross Keyworth who will be riding in his first Red Bull Pro Nationals campaign. Although not challenging for titles this season, Ross will be working hard to get into the top 10.

Damon Strydom heads up the team’s MX2 effort and will be focussing on posting some sold top 10 finishes while Dan – Rookie runner-up in 2012 – starts the season among the favourites to lift the most coveted crown in youth motocross.

Nez, Ross, Damon and Dan have been given a great opportunity in 2013 and will have all the tools at their disposal as Technical Team Manager Mark Yates explains.

‘We have left no stone unturned in 2013,” says Mark. “We have great partners and sponsors on board to give us the best equipment possible. We have a fantastic media department, pit set-up and have sought the best sports psychologists, training programmes and mechanics to take the team forward.”
