Lyng Targeted For Kawasaki Bounce Back

With the notorious UK weather to blame for the cancelation of the planned second round of the Maxxis British Championship, Lyng in Norfolk will host the hottest racing this weekend for MX fans hungry for off-road action. Following a disappointing set of results on the world stage at Valkenswaard, Team CLS MX1 Kawasaki superstar, Tommy Searle, has vowed to go for a repeat of his domination of the inaugural round of the championship held at FatCat motoparc in Doncaster.
Making the most of the uncharacteristic gap between events, official Kawasaki Motors UK motocross team, Maxxis Kawasaki by LPE are keen to exploit some recently developed suspension and chassis set up advances for their KX450F machines in the heat of MX1 battle. Riders Brad Anderson, Dorren Coutts and Connor Walkley are certainly ready and eager to take on all comers.
So too is Shane Carless who, for this round, will be sole MX1 rider for the Oakleaf Kawasaki squad. Still recovering from a shoulder operation, his team mate, Alex Snow has vowed to be ready for future rounds and is determined not to let the pack ease away from him in the points tally.
Now fit after his recent injury, flying Scot Bryan Mackenzie re-joins the fray refreshed and eager to secure a win on his KX250F in the MX2 class. As a way to draw the line under an uncertain start to an eagerly awaited season – and hoping that the worst of the weather is in the past – Lyng is crucial as Kawasaki Racing Coordinator, Ross Burridge explains.
“There is huge potential ready to be unleashed among Kawasaki riders this weekend at Lyng. Tommy has the desire to get back on top of the box, the Maxxis Kawasaki by LPE riders want to exploit their new machine set up to the full plus the likes of Shane and Bry Mac know they need to get some points on the board. To be honest all the ingredients are in place for an exciting and explosive weekend of entertaining racing”.
