Buildbase Honda Team Offer Off Road Experience

Behind the scenes of the off-road motorcycle racing world, the wheels continue to turn and at this difficult commercial time globally, the motorcycle industry as a whole are closing ranks and making every effort to improve awareness of our sport and the players who work within it.

The Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCIA) organised a two day event at the fantastic Off-Road Experience venue near Silverstone, Northants at the weekend. Around fifty non-(motorcycle) industry journalists were treated to an off-road experience which many of them will not forget in a hurry and over one-hundred members of the public attended on the Saturday for a morning and afternoon session of off-road riding.

The event was blessed with fine weather and was supported by most of the major manufacturers and industry associates, together with the main organising bodies of off-road sport in the UK.

Representing Honda UK, the Buildbase team were on hand to provide bikes, technical support and riding tuition and guidance, with team manager Dave Thorpe and Buildbase Honda`s  women`s GP star Danni Marsh leading groups of novice riders and off-road newcomers around a three mile cross-country loop.

DAVE THORPE “This was the first event of its kind and the MCIA did a fantastic job in coordinating the whole experience. It was great to see and be involved with all the other manufacturers and off-road organisations and I thought we all worked well together with one goal.

The MCIA organisers put on a great show and we can all see the benefits of what they and I guess, we all, are trying to achieve. It is refreshing to be involved with enthusiastic professionals who are motivated to be pro-active within our industry, so on behalf of Honda, thank you and we will be first on the list for next year`s event”.
