BOS finalise MXGP team

BOS have already found a replacement for Benoit Paturel, as they have signed Evgeny Bobryshev to pilot a Suzuki for the team in the FIM Motocross World Championship. The news, which we alluded to on MX Vice last week, is not too much of a surprise, as Bobryshev came extremely close to signing with the team at the beginning of the off-season.

The fact that Evgeny rides a RM-Z450 does not bother us,” Olivier Bossard explained in a press release. “It is even better! We will be present at the twenty MXGP rounds to show that our suspension is great, so doing it on a European base and a Japanese base is perfect.” Why can the team have their two riders pilot different bikes? Jordi Tixier will be on a 450SX-F, after all. The team does not receive any support from a specific manufacturer.

What does this mean for the Lombard Express Suzuki team in Britain? Seeing as Bobryshev will also pilot a Suzuki on the world stage, there is nothing stopping him from returning to Britain for the eight Maxxis British Championship rounds. Bobryshev is, of course, still committed to arenacross also. It’s going to be a busy year for one of the greatest personalities in the FIM Motocross World Championship!
