EBB back for Wembley showdown!

Elliott Banks-Browne will race the final round of the 2014 Garmin Arenacross Tour at London’s iconic Wembley Arena on Saturday (March 1).

Winner of a dramatic fourth round Main Event in Liverpool, Elliott then sustained a freak wrist injury that sidelined him for the following two rounds. But the Buildbase Honda rider – who celebrated his 24th birthday on the day of his Echo Arena victory – is fully recovered and aiming to go out on top.

“The wrist is fine now,” says EBB. “I had a scan and there was some bone bruising – I’m not really sure why but I think I twisted it and trapped a ligament. I’ve had it in a splint and it’s much better – I was able to ride on Thursday so it’s all good.”

An acknowledged outdoor ace with back-to-back national titles to prove it, EBB has impressed with how quickly he’s adapted to the tight, technical indoor tracks and incredibly intense races.

“Racing this year’s series has been a big learning curve for me and it’s been the same for riders like Kristian Whatley. Outdoors you’ve got time to set yourself but indoors it’s just so intense and if you’re not experienced it’s hard to be consistent.”

Despite the injury setback, with a win under his belt EBB’s feeling mentally strong and heading into the seventh round with just one goal.

“I’m looking forward to coming back for Wembley and I want to go out with a victory. I feel really confident – the way I see it the last time I raced was Liverpool so I’m going into Wembley on the back of a win. It’s always cool to go to London so I’ll be up for it for sure.”

Tickets are still available for Wembley and start at £11.10 for children and £21 for adults. Family tickets are available from £54. Prices include box office charges. To book yours call 0844 338 8000 or go to www.theticketfactory.com
