Track conditions were perfect for the start of round 5 of the Maxxis at Foxhills. It was Liam Knights first outing in the MX2 for Dyer and Butler KTM and after settling in, qualified in 31st position. Jamie Law had equal success in the MX1 qualifying for super pole and coming in 7th.
After a shaky start in the first MX2 race, Liam began to find his rhythm progressing through and crossing the line in 29th.
Jamie had a great start in moto 1 of the MX1, coming round the first corner in 5th and holding position until a crash left him battling back in 13th. Holding his nerve Law slowly crept back through pack eventually crossing the line in 8th.
Liam rode well in his second race of the day, finishing strong. Putting in his fastest time in the final lap and finishing in 25th.
Race 2 was an uphill slug for Jamie as he dug deep to bring himself back from a tricky start. After the first lap he sat back in 13th and with passing difficult only managed a 9th.
There were problems with the bike on the way to the last MX1 race of the day, with Jamie Law only just making the start. By the end of the first lap he sat comfortably within the top ten until a reoccurrence of the mechanical problems brought his race to an end.
“This weekend has been full of ups and downs” Says Paul Hobbs(team director) “Both Jamie and Liam rode well and its only the bike problems that put a dampener on an otherwise good weekend”
