JGR Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing has had a torrid time of it in 2020 Monster Energy Supercross, with multiple injuries sidelining their original riders and then their fill-in guys as well. A series of bad luck has left them in a rather desperate position and with not many opportunities to explore. The folks at JGR decided to look further afield, bearing that in mind, and have got Frenchman Charles LeFrancois in as their latest replacement rider. MX Vice correspondent Steve Matthes shared the news on his social media.
“Look for Charles LeFrancois to fill-in for JGR Suzuki this weekend and for the next few rounds until #17 gets back.”
LeFrancois has been a regular competitor at prestigious off-season events in Paris and Geneva – he actually picked up the AX Tour title in the United Kingdom just two weeks ago as well. It appears to be a race-by-race deal, as there is still no word on when Joey Savatgy will be able to return.
