Red Bull Pro Nationals Preview

The 2013 Red Bull Pro Nationals series is shaping up for its most exciting and
closely contested season so far with a stacked field of MX1 and MX2 Pros preparing
to fight for the most prestigious crown in domestic motocross.

At a Red Bull Pro National both Pro divisions race together before the classes are
split at the chequered flag and the entry list shows a real depth of talent across both
MX1 and MX2 classes which is proof – if anyone needs it – that it’s a format that
works. The riders rate it, the teams rate it and the fans love it!

In MX1 we’ve got the mouth-watering prospect of defending champ Nico Aubin
going head-to-head with his new Buildbase Honda team-mate – and two-time
world champion – Steve Ramon. Just on their own it would be a two-man racing
smorgasbord but add into the mix the likes of former champ Brad Anderson who’s
back from Oz with the Maxxis Kawasaki by LPE team, the enigmatic Kristian
Whatley on an MBO Sport Yamaha, the equally unpredictable Scott Elderfield, GP
winner Gert Krestinov on his new Apico Ansatech Kawasaki team, AX ace Jack
Brunell, Stuey Edmonds – and the list goes on and on…

MX2 is equally crammed full of talent with Putoline Honda’s defending champ Nev
Bradshaw aiming to make it a hat-trick of titles but 2010 MX2 champ Martin Barr,
returning to the class after a couple of years in MX1, will be looking to square things
at two titles apiece. If MX1 is too close to call then MX2 is if anything even more
competitive with proven pilots including Bryan MacKenzie, Lewis Gregory, Steven
Lenoir and Ray Rowson all likely to be in the mix alongside exciting rising stars of
the calibre of brothers Nathan and Ben Watson and 2012 Rookies champ Jake

The 2013 Red Bull Pro Nationals kick off on April 20/21 at Landrake Moto Parc in
