Putoline Honda – Race Report, Maxxis British Championship Round 4

A local venue for us, this weekend, at Milton Malsor.

 On Sunday morning qualifying got underway at 9:15am. Nev qualified in 7th place taking him through to Super Pole. In Super Pole Nev qualified in a great 1st place, with a lap time of 1:42.923.

 Race 1: Nev had a great start & moved up to 2nd by lap 2. He stayed there for the first half of the race, when he tightened up with arm pump. Nev dropped back to finish in 5th place.

Race 2: A good start to the race put Nev up to 5th place in lap 2. Through the race he moved up another place to 4th. Two laps to go & he was on the 4th placed Mackenzie but couldn’t make a clean pass. Nev finished the race in 4th place.

Race 3:  Nev had a cracking start getting the holeshot & leading the way for 2 laps.

Lenoir managed to take the lead putting Nev into 2nd place. Nev had good consistent speed through the race. With the rain was getting worse by lap 7, Banks-Browne had caught up then passed Nev. The rest of the race Nev pushed hard ending the race with a good 3rd place.

Overall – Nev went home with a great 4th overall at Milton, just 1 point shy of getting on the podium.

He has now moved up into 3rd place in the MX2 championship standings.

Round 2 of the Red Bull Pro Nationals is the 18th – 19th  May at Weston Super Mare.

Round 3 of the British Masters is 26 May at Whitby

Round 5 of the Maxxis British Championship is 02 June at Foxhill,Swindon.
