It was off to Cadders Hill, Lyng in Norfolk for round 3 of the Maxxis British Championship.
On Sunday morning Qualifying got underway at 9:15am Nev qualified in a good 7th place with a lap
time of 2:08:188 while James in 13th with a lap time of 2:10:570.
MX2 – Race 1 Nev had a not so good start with being 17th on the first lap but by lap three, Nev had
good pace & worked his way through the pack gaining places. He went on to finish in 8th.
James also started the race low down the pack in 20th. By lap 4 he started getting through the field.
He progressed & by the last lap he had got up to 12th overall.
MX2 – Race 2 got underway & both Nev and James had a cracking start with Nev in 8th, James in
9th. Nev went through the pack riding consistently fast, by the end of the race he had got 4 th place.
James had good pace but unfortunately spun out, which lost him a few places. He went on to finish
MX2 – Race 3 Nev had a good start getting in 5th place after the first lap, throughout the race he
had good consistent speed in fifth. Last lap Nev got passed Nathan Watson getting 4 th.
James didn’t have a good start in race 3, in 33rd after lap one but by lap two he’d got through up to
27th. James had good speed through the race & finish in 15th place.
Overall – Nev finished a great 4th overall at Lyng & is in 4th in the championship standings.
James ended the weekend with a good 9th overall & 7th in the championship standings.
Round 1 of the Red Bull Pro Nationals is the 20th – 21st April at Landrake, Saltash, Cornwall.
The next Maxxis British Championship is 12th May at Milton MX Park, Northampton
