The seventh round of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross, RedBud, was a big event for Ken Roczen. The HRC-mounted pilot reached the chequered flag first for the first time since his horrific injury, so a weight was certainly lifted at the universally-liked circuit. Roczen took to the stage in the post-race press conference and discussed the day, plus how excited he is for the upcoming Motocross of Nations.

I think it is sweet,” Ken Roczen said in the press conference at RedBud on Saturday evening. “This has always been one of my favourite tracks throughout the entire season, so I am excited. Plus it is a pretty quick trip for us to come here. My plan obviously is to race this year, for sure, so I think it is going to be great. if we can get the same crowd, then it will probably be a lot more as well with a bunch of Europeans coming over, I think it will be great. I have ridden quite a few ‘Nations and actually went to Budds Creek years and years ago, when I did not race, but I have already liked that race. It gives you a completely different atmosphere, because everyone is going crazy.”

After finishing second overall at RedBud, Ken Roczen runs fourth in the premier-class standings in Lucas Oil Pro Motocross and eighteen points down on the rider in third. Team Germany at the MXoN is expected to consist of Roczen, plus Max Nagl and Henry Jacobi.
