MX vs. ATV Supercross Update

It is a great time to be a fan of motocross games! Following the release of the very popular MXGP game, another title will be released later in the year, ‘MX vs. ATV: Supercross’. Before now, details on the new game have been kept secret by the guys at Nordic Games. However, they did release the following statement on their Facebook page. So, read on to find out what the new game will include!

  •  “We’ve announced PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Mac and Linux as our platforms.
  • We have some good DLC plans post launch.
  • Scrubs and whips have been revamped and are back.
  • We’re getting rid of the under steer/over steer conditions in turns, making ATVs less tippy with softer suspension.
  • We’re revamping the scrubs and whips and know about the whip/scrub glitch.
  • Bikes don’t get hung up by the terrain, there’s more flow and you can get a nice rhythm going. Triples now are 100-110 feet.
  • We plan to have manual camera adjustments too.
  • We look for ways to bring more authenticity and depth to the game where we can.
  • The game is structured that if people don’t like ATVs (or dirt bikes) they don’t have to race with them.
  • There will be two strokes to rip with and they’ll be competitive with four strokes.
  • 250 two strokes are on the list. Some items may not make it in on the original release, but would end up available as DLC.
  • There will be OEMs available for MX vs. ATV Supercross but we haven’t announced our OEM lineup yet.
  • 20 lap races are too long especially for new players. Optional longer races are something we’re talking about.
  • We’re still signing up riders and haven’t announced who we have yet.
  • We will have 250 East, 250 West and 450 points series (Alive didn’t have any season mode at all).”
