A sunny Mothering Sunday saw the Woodbridge & DMCC hold their first motocross meeting of the 2014 season at the Blaxhall circuit near Woodbridge. With a bumper line up of nearly 160 riders across four different classes, including a strong Expert group consisting of a number of National riders as well as the opening round of the NGR championship for over 30’s.

Following the recent good weather the track was in superb condition for racing after the club had spent many months preparing the venue for the new season.

The Expert group featured a 28 rider strong line with an additional 12 of the fastest juniors being added into the mix as well. In the morning time practice session James Cottrell, Luke Benstead and Jack Brunell all finished the session within half a second of each other to set up a good days racing.

Fourth place went to Jack Brunell with Chris Bayliss finishing in fifth. Jake Gregory took the honour of being the first Junior rider home in an impressive 12th place beating a number of regular Experts in the process.
