Chatfield keeps cools at the LG Arena

Adam Chatfield consolidated his position at the top of the UK Arenacross Championship on Saturday night at the Birmingham NEC LG Arena.

The fantastic event once again staged by Events 22 saw a full bill of racing and freestyle climax in the grand final of the night.

Jack Brunnell gated well and duly won each race he started, including the final, which he dominated after lap one. Chatfield had to fight for his excellent results in every race, coming from last to second in the semi` and battling from fifth on the first lap in the final, through to a comfortable second place at the flag.

With current Arenacross Champion Neville Bradshaw having, by his standards, a terrible evening, finishing the final in 8th spot,

the night may well have fallen to Brunnell but the championship title becomes ever closer to the consistently fast Chatfield, who is still 8 points ahead of Brunnell.

With a creditable three Buildbase Honda team racers in the final, Mickael Musquin and Adrien Lopez snatched 6th and 11th respectively.
