Chad Reed will use the two week break to get a small operation on his knee. The Australian is currently fourth in the standings and hopes to be back for round 14 of the series in Minneapolis.
The niggling injury is a result of the ACL injury his sustained in supercross last season which has not healed 100%.
Reed took to twitter last night after his fourth place saying:”Well I got a sniff of the podium. Excited to get surgery and get back to 100% healthy and back to my normal training program.”
Hopefully the operation will cure Chad’s nagging injury and we can have a healthy Reed for the rest of the Supercross season as well as outdoors.
