A second helping of Dirt Track Cross to start the season!

Dirt Track Cross is next up on the British Dirt Track tour bus, stopping off at the Hayley Stadium, Newport following on from the great success of the Hangover event at the same venue last week.  This time however it will be the first round of the 2012 British Dirt Track Cross championships which will be run over 3 rounds during the year.

Dirt Track Cross uses the ultra smooth and quick speedway track before heading to the centre green, with right and left hand bends and small jumps,  all of which creates tight close racing but with some pure speed as well, in short, sharp sprint races.

A couple of classes were over subscribed last time out and with more riders looking to have a go we are asking riders to get their entries in early which will also help us when creating a race programme and with pre meeting PR.

The classes are:
–           MX ADULT OPEN with local MX and Speedway rider James White-Williams looking to take the victory again this class is going to be very interesting
–          QUADZILLA QRA QUAD ADULT  OPEN which is sure to be ultra competitive again with more riders looking to join the party
–          MINI BIKE ADULTS great racing from British champ Luke Coker who took the win but was pushed all the way from the Frearson brothers, Adam and Chris.  A full 12 rider line up last time created great racing
–          DIRT TRACK SOLO for the grasstrack bikes using just the Oval circuit
–          QUAD ELITE YOUTH subject to a minimum amount of riders these youngsters are very quick
–          MINI BIKE YOUTH great fun for the nippers, subject to a minimum number of riders

Turnstiles for the event open at 11am with the first race being at 12am.  Prices for the event are Adults £7, Concessions £5 and children under 16 go free when accompanied by a paying adult.  For further event info for spectators call 01305 858166 or email [email protected]

With over 40 races of sprint Dirt Track Cross action, and with championship points on the line this is going to be an event not to be missed.
