This weekend took us to Round two of the Wulfsport British Masters at Foxhills Motoparc.
With still little time testing the new bike I decided to try and get some more bike time in, on the Saturday. Managing to get an entry in the Amateur MX2 Class; I contested the two moto’s on Saturday only. Feeling at home very quickly I set the fastest time in qualifying which set the day off on a good note.
Moto 1 arose and I gated in the top three early moving into the lead and going on to win the race.
Moto 2 was similar this time a better start and going on to take the win at the flag.
After feeling happy with everything on Saturday, Sunday approached waking up for the Pro Qualifying feeling good I put in a lap time quick enough for 11th position which I felt very happy with.
Moto 1 of the first Pro Mx2 race started with a fairly good start just outside the top 10. Making it up a couple of positions throughout the race making into a solid 9th at the chequered flag.
Moto 2 started better again gating in the top three I dropped back to 6th by the end of the first lap, settling down in 6th I felt good; I had a good rhythm but unfortunately for me I fell unlucky with a rock hitting my water pump and cracking the cases which caused the bike to loose its water and forcing me to pull out with only 10 minutes left of the race.
After some good riding this weekend I am feeling at home on the bike and look forward the next round at Whitby.
Big thank you again to all my sponsors for all their continued support!
