Dan Thornhill, Foxhill

This weekend we made the decision to have a race at the Pheonix Tools South West Premier Championship at Foxhills. A local race for us and a stacked line up I couldn’t wait to get stuck in.

The track was in good condition and everything felt good for me in qualifying, I felt relaxed and smooth to put in a solid lap time for 8th in the expert class.

The first moto started great for me with a 5th place start against some strong 450s; I settled in to a good pace. The intensity and the amount of close racing that was taking place were unreal! I battled hard for the whole 20 mins + 1 lap race to end up a solid 8th at the chequered.

Moto 2 was again similar with the start not being as good as the first race, I again pushed as strong and hard as I could for the full race distance to end the race with another solid result in 12th.

Moto 3, I took a similar start to moto 2. With some watering taken place before our final race the track was slippery and very technical in places. Getting filled in on the first couple of laps I again plugged away at moving as far up as I possibly could ending up 13th at the flag.

Again, it feels great to have another solid weekend under my belt. With the consistent results and speed improving I feel I am achieving. Race by race my bike fitness is starting to come back together.

Thanks again for all the support involved this would not be possible without you all!
