Unfortunately, Chad Reed has been forced to pull out of the Arlington SX, after attempting to ride practice. Chad had the forty-fifth best time overall, but was set to receive a provisional, which would get him into the night show. However, his injuries are just too painful; he is now off to the hospital for more scans. Ellie Reed posted this statement on Instagram:
“These moments are pretty heart breaking. We won’t give up. But he can’t race tonight. More details will come. He has left the stadium for new MRI & X-rays.”
Later, Chad Reed posted this statement on Twitter, which certainly shed a little more light on his injury:
“Well we tried. Went to go for a time and shoulder either popped out or the coracoid process pulled off which is what we were concerned about.“
