The Arenacross UK series will resume this weekend at the LG Arena, Birmingham for the third round of four. Undoubtedly, a number of riders will be shooting for the win, here is what the top three think at the halfway stage.
We’re just two days away from the third round of the Arenacross tour and the top three in the Pro standings have all got one thing on their minds – winning!
“I’m really looking forward to racing this weekend,” says series leader Adam Chatfield who’s going into the LG Arena on Saturday night with a perfect two-from-two record. “I’ve had a lot of fun racing the series and I’m really gonna try my best to make it a hat-trick – that’s my goal! And I like having the big cheques in my hand!”
If the Buildbase Honda rider’s going to bank another big cheque he’s going to have to deal with defending champ Neville Bradshaw who’s fired up to take his first win of the series.
“My speed has been good at the first two and I’ve been out in Spain working on my game and getting things dialled in more,” says the Putoline Honda rider. “I’m ready to send it hard in Birmingham this weekend and bring it down to the wire in Liverpool.”
But both riders will be forced to fight off third-placed Jack Brunell who’s just seven points behind Nev and 11 points adrift of Adam.
“I raced Adam last weekend in Holland,” says Jack. “It went very well for me and I ended up winning. Hopefully my luck will continue and I don’t see any reason why I won’t be able to beat him again and win the next two rounds. Obviously, I’m third in the series at the moment – it’s not where I want to be but all I can do is try my best in the next races and see where I finish overall.”
