Season is Approaching FAST…..

Motocross

The AMCA Motocross season is fast approaching with the first events kicking off on 2nd March!

Kinver are running at the excellent sand circuit of Bromsberrow near Ledbury for the Central Group. In North Shropshire/Wales Group Newport are running the opener at Long Lane near Telford always popular this sand circuit is a favourite with the riders. Other groups have the opportunity to ride at these two meetings!

Classic Scrambles

The Classic Scrambles season will also soon be upon us, with a slightly later start of 30th March there are two excellent events to choose from, the Pre65 club are running at Marks Tey, a venue that is popular amongst the classics and always attracts good entries. The Three Counties club are running at Maismore open to Classics the club are also running a Twinshock and Eco class, get your licence now and get booked in with the club!

Midland Modern Trials – Get in Touch

The Midlands Modern Trials clubs have started their own blog, http://midlandsareaamcatrials.wordpress.com log on to view entry forms and results. The next Midlands Modern Trials event is being hosted by the Walsall club at Hobs Hole this coming Sunday (26th Jan), contact Bruce Bolton for further information on 07917 441128

 

Live in the East of the Country?????

Do you live near Corby, Leicester, Newark, Lincoln, Louth, March, Northampton, Oakham, Ollerton, Robridding, Shepshed, Southam or Warsop? There is an AMCA club in your area, if you do not live near any of these clubs then either give the AMCA a call or one of these clubs.

Some of these clubs offer online entry to members, no need to go to club each week to enter! Give your local club a call or contact the AMCA for further information.

With 25 fixtures in the group and other great local venues of Polesworth, Coleorton, Alport Heights and Stenson to choose from join the AMCA now to ride at an entry fee of £25 an event!

BMCA Change of Venue

This Sunday’s BMCA Trial will now take place at Knighton, Shropshire. The BMCA run classic Trials every week through the winter months, regularly attracting 35 riders each week they always put on good events. Visit www.bmca.org.uk for dates and further info.

OPEN FORUM – Have your say!

The Motocross Committee is being held on the 8th February at the AMCA Head Office in Cannock, a minimum of 4 representatives per group are invited. The morning session will be dedicated to the agenda which deals with items submitted by clubs and Groups across the country. There will also be a special open forum discussion on how to improve AMCA Motocross in the afternoon!

Christchurch Open for Members

The AMCA’s Christchurch club are holding their AGM on Tuesday 4th February at the Wheat Sheaf, New Milton BH25 6QJ starting after 8:00pm. Contact Mike Torah on 07725 832205 for further information.

Bath AGM

Bath are holding their AGM on 5th February at the Haden Que club, BA33 3QR at 8:30pm.

The next club night after that is 12th February then fortnightly, for further information contact the club secretary 07791 665120.

Staunton and Corse – come on down

Staunton and Corse are holding their AGM on 21st January at the Swan Inn, Staunton at 8:00pm.

Officials Seminars

Officials Seminars have been finalised for the beginning of 2014, bookings can be made online or via the Office.

The dates are as follows;

2nd Feb 2014, (Ship Inn, Bristol)

16th Feb, (AMCA Office)

1st March, (AMCA Office)

Interested in joining the AMCA as a MX club?

Every AMCA motocross event is guaranteed a minimum of £2,500 for the host club! If you are interested in affiliating to the AMCA as a club, or already are, then this massive increase in the minimum return means less financial risk and better events for all AMCA members!

Have an AMCA Transponder that your not using???

AMCA myLaps TRANSPONDERS – Calling all ex- AMCA members!!

Do you still have an AMCA transponder lurking in the garage, hiding in a tool box or nestling in a kit bag?

If you’ve hung up your MX boots for good, AMCA will give you £30 cash for your second hand transponder!

Get your Videos in!

The AMCA has launched its own YouTube channel and would like for our members to send in their video’s or headcam footage of AMCA events on DVD, or via email so they can be edited and uploaded to the site.

Please send them in with a brief covering letter giving details of the event, the date, and other info such as the race class or more and take pleasure in watching the views tot up!
